this is a standalone chat application for xiv that's been a fucking godsend for me and my adhd so I'm going to rant about it.
it's fully customizable, and lets you have as many different chat tabs as you want. you can even customize how certain players' names appear in chat. change the color of the text for certain functions.
one super helpful note is that gobchat won't close along with the game since it's a separate program anyway - so no fear of losing notes if you crash. you can also set it to save logs automatically when gobchat is closed!
previously, keeping up with chat in venues/public RP was horrific because all I saw were walls of text, but this app eliminates that. must have. go get it. now.

prefpro| Changes in-game dialogue from npcs to your character's desired name and pronouns. it unfortunately does not have they/them as an option, but this is likely a limitation within xiv itself.expanded search info| Displays extra info, including carrd info, when examining someone's search info. I consider this a must have for venues!chat bubbles| displays chat bubbles over players' heads when talking in game. you can pick what chat channels are included and how long the bubbles display for. really helpful for public RP and keeping track of who just spoke to you.peeping tom| shows who's currently looking at you/has you targeted.
general quality of life
qol bar| provides a little bar for the purposes of holding all your chat commands and plugin commands. customizable.orchestrion plugin| adds an interface for browsing and changing in-game background music. will also show in chat which song is currently playing, no matter where you are.market board| marketboard interface that shows prices for your server as well as others in your data center.
